Submitted by User Imagerichardcqz on Friday, 29 August 20082 Comments

Nowadays, many people are changing CRT monitor to LCD monitor because the price are cheaper, here no mention that CRT monitor expensive, just the price range are very near. There are a few brand of LCD monitor i can recommend: Samsung(Standard or Wide), LG, HP, Acer(17″ or 19″), BenQ, Asus and etc.

Sometimes the monitor happen to have dead pixel which come original from manufacture, so you will have to check it before you buy it. I worked in Cycom Sales and Services Sdn. Bhd. few months ago, many of the customers come to buy LCD monitor will ask a favor for checking the dead pixel of the monitor. And many of the monitor had been rejected back to manufacturer for few dots of dead pixel.

Now i currently recommend you few softwares to check the dead pixel of your monitor so that if your monitor still under warranty, you can send back to warranty but remember need at least 7 - 9 dots of dead pixel only can warranty.

JscreenFix

The Java applet that helps fix stuck pixels and image persistence on LCD screens and reduces burn-in on plasma screens. The applet runs safely inside a web browser, does not require installation and works with Windows, Linux and Mac computers. JScreenFix repairs most stuck pixels in under 20 minutes, and mild screen burn-in within 12 hours.

Tireal TFT Test

Compact program for fully testing and configuring your TFT monitor. The test are Base color test, Interference and video noise test, Grayscale test and RGB test.

Monitor Tester

This diagnostic program helps you adjust the settings of your monitor to get the best possible picture quality. It helps you test important criteria like sharpness, color convergence, moiré and interference or the geometry. You can easily adjust brightness, contrast, white balance, focus and the picture size and position.
