Protect your sensitive data with TrueCrypt

Do you need to protect your sensitive data from anonymous. There are many encryption softwares such as Roboform, Folder Lock and etc. that can be use for protect your sesitive data. Now here is a free open-source disk encryption software that is TrueCrypt.

Truecrypt creates a virtual encrypted disk within a file and mounts it as a real disk. Encrypt an entire hard disk partition or a device, such as USB flash drive. Automatically and transparently encrypt in real time.

TrueCrypt provides two levels of plausible deniability, in case an adversary forces you to reveal the password: a hidden volume (steganography- more information may be found here); no TrueCrypt volume can be identified (volumes cannot be distinguished from random data). TrueCrypt uses encryption algorithms AES-256, Blowfish (448-bit key), CAST5, Serpent, Triple DES, and Twofish. It is based on Encryption for the Masses (E4M) 2.02a, conceived in 1997.

Version 6.1 included new features such as parallelized encryption/decryption on multi-core processors (or multi-processor systems). Increase in encryption/decryption speed is directly proportional to the number of cores and/or processors. Ability to encrypt a non-system partition without losing existing data on the partition. This softwares support WIndows XP, Vista, 2000, MAC OS Tiger, MAC OS Leopard, Linux Ubuntu and OpenSUSE.
