Xampp is a Apache distribution that include Apache, PHP, MYSQL, Zend Optimizer and Perl. Besides the function mention before, there are a lot of software that include in Xampp that are PHPMyAdmin, XAMPP Control Panel, Webalizer, Mercury Mail Transport System, FileZilla FTP Server, SQLite, ADODB, XAMPP Security and eAccelerator for PHP 5.

You just have to follow the instruction of exe files that you download from the download page mention below, after that open the Xampp Control Panel and start the service in the control panel include Apache, MYSQL, FileZilla and Mercury. You can login to the Xampp Web base Control panel by using Microsoft Internet Explorer, type 127.0.0.1 or localhost. Remember go to Xampp Security to check the status of your localhost server whether it is secure or not. Besides that, you have to enter http://localhost/security/xamppsecurity.php to edit your MYSQL root password and Xampp Directory Protection(.htaccess).

 Xampp can used in many Operating System such as Linux(SuSE, RedHat, Mandrake and Debian), Windows(98, NT, 2000, 2003, XP and Vista), MAC OS X and Solaris. Enjoy yourself because it is a freeware.
